Obama and the Capitol Building

This painting is called Obama and the Capitol Building. This painting came from 2 photos. The background is pink. The Capitol Building is green and yellow on its lower part and the upper part is orange and yellow. The building has top to bottom of dark to light shading. Obama is our President of the United States. Obama's skin is brown with shadows and highlights. His hair is short and black. The president's suit is dark blue. His shirt is light blue. His tie is dark blue and pink. Obama and the Capitol building go together because they are in Washington D.C. The building's windows are black to show that it's daytime and it sticks out. I used acrylic and felt pen marker. This painting took 4 sessions because all of the detail on Obama's face and suit just like the photo, plus the building's columns and dome at the top.  This painting was finished on June 21, 2010. I did this painting because I talk about Obama with my friend and art teacher Paula Gauche. I like the Capitol building because its Greek architecture and colors. This painting is important for the country.
