Romantic Rhinos

I sketched in two rhinos from two different photos. I painted the background yellow white twice to make it brighter. I started painting the rhino on the left. I painted some of the area on the left side mostly yellow orange for dark shades. Some of the wrinkles on the body are yellow orange with a a little of purple for the darkest shadows. I used yellow on the area close to the leg and on the upper leg and blended in some yellow orange. I painted most of the rhino on the right. I painted most of the rhino's upper body yellow, but little bit of white yellow on its back. Most of the rhino's lower body is yellow orange and darkest yellow for shadows. The top of the ear is white yellow, yellow, then the rest is yellow orange, and dark yellow along the edges. The wrinkles on the his belly are darkest yellow towards the top to yellow at the bottom. The wrinkles toward his head is pure dark yellow. The wrinkles on his muzzle is yellow. The nostril is yellow. The mouth is dark yellow toward its eye and white yellow towards its nostrils. I repainted the whole rhino twice to make it pop out. I made all the shades of yellow lighter because the rhino is further away in the background. All the darkest area on the rhino like his face, underbelly, and legs are a lighter dark yellow. The dark areas like his upper face, legs, and parts of his belly are a lighter yellow orange. The light area on his body like his upper belly, back and a little on his head is a lighter yellow. The lightest parts is his ear, back, and a little bit on the mouth. The mouth is a very white yellow for highlights. It took a long time to paint because all of the details. I painted the rhino on the left in darker shades of yellow because it's closer up and the other rhino in lighter shades because it's further away. The darkest is dark yellow brown like his ears, muzzle, shadows on his horns, wrinkles on his body and leg. The next darkest is dark yellow orange like most of his body, part of the leg, parts of his horns. The lighter color is yellow like on parts of his leg, parts of his face, horns and the wrinkles on his muzzle. The lightest color is light yellow a little more darker than the highlights on the rhino on the right. The lightest yellow is the highlights like above the eye and the top of his horn. This painting is romantic because the rhino on the left is the husband and the rhino on the right is the wife. It looks like they're in love. I like how the the dark color on the rhinos contrast with the light background. This painting is very peaceful. This painting is called Romantic Rhinos. This painting was finished on August 2, 2012.
