Paula helped me sketch in the haunted house because it was hard to draw the angles. We drew in a big gnarly tree on the far left hand side. We drew another large gnarly tree on the far right hand side. I also drew in smaller trees closer to the house. We painted the sky dark green that looks almost black. I painted the ground even darker green ( almost pure black). I repainted the sky dark green with more green in it than black. Then I painted parts of the sky near the trees green blue. The area closer to the bottom is a lighter blue green and towards the top is a darker blue green. I swirl the color to make it look like clouds. I painted the big gnarly tree on the left a dark green. The highlights are a light green. The shadows are pure black. I painted all the haunted house windows a blackish dark purple with a little bit of green in it. The spaces in between the columns on the porch are the same color as the windows. I painted dark blackish purple lines vertically on the tallest part of the house. I also painted the house roof dark green. The bottom half and the left sides of the house are dark green. I outlined the the house edges a light green. The top half of the house is a lighter green. The stairs have dark lines to show where the steps are. I painted the stairs a lighter green. The columns are dark green with some light green in certain spots. I painted a thick black border around the red lit window to make the window not ruin the painting. I painted black triangle points on the cross shaped bars on the window. I painted light green cross shaped bars on the windows. I painted some light green highlights on some parts of the house, on the tombstones, and on the trees. I painted pure black shadows on the ground, the tombstones, on the edges of the stairs, and the trees. On two of the three tombstones three words or dates are written in black (RIP 1890). I painted bats in the sky. I painted Dracula's skin a greenish blue. His pants and his shirt are black. His shoes are dark green. His cape is a light green. I put a thin light green line around his body. I painted two white fanged like teeth with a thin black line around it. The bats and Dracula's eyes are red. I painted greenish blue highlights on the ground. I finished this painting on March 4, 2012. This painting is mostly monochromatic. This painting reminds me of Halloween. I like how the light green and red contrast because it glows against the Haunted House background.
